The Price Is Right Landscaping Design, Brian Standridge, was hired 5/18 with an initial fee of $650 to remove old sod and replace it with new sod at my residence. 6/6 Mr. Standridge arrived in a bobcat tractor, attempted to scrape half my back yard off, and left the job incomplete. This business failed to deliver purchased product and services.

The incomplete work resulted in an estimated $2,700 worth of property damages. Mrs. Standridge contacted me by email on 6/7 to explain the incomplete work was due to a death in the family. Meanwhile, no one else arrived to complete the work. Mr. Standridge agreed to arrive and complete the work 6/12 and subsequently did not show and failed to return messages. Nearly a month has passed since service was paid for and agreed upon and I am now left with nearly 3,000 in damages to repair the unfinished job this company left.

Further, Mr. Standridge informed me the significant delay in his work was due to the untimely death of his father. However, after a search of local public records there is no death certificate for the father.in fact, his father signed legal documents recorded with the Register of Deeds the day of his supposed death.

On 6/14 I went to the county court house and reviewed several civil cases against Mr. Standridge. All judgements were made against him; however, no payment has been made in any single case. After speaking with the plaintiffs who filed against him it appears that Mr. Standridge's business practice is to enter into a contract, receive payment, provide the victim with several excuses regarding personal emergencies and ultimately not render service.

I am incredibly concerned this individual will continue to con people out of money and only few report the issue because the amounts only allow filings in small claims court where he may ultimately file for bankruptcy, practice under another business name, and never pay restitution.
