Holding a check - pnc check cashing policies

I went in today with a check for $120, and they have to hold it for a day because im a new customer. I could understand if the check was for a couple thoand dollars, but for a little over a hundred dollars, it wasn't even released at midnight, no there going to take their sweet time releasing OUR money to us, now I can't put gas in my vehicle for work tomorrow, you want to know why, oh yeah I go to work before they open. Thanks a lot pnc.
