Target Store East Lansing, MI - Emerson Ice Make

My children purchased me a Emerson Ice Maker for Christmas. I left for AZ right after the Holidays. My house sold while I was gone, so I no longer need an Ice Maker. I returned in April and tried to return the ice maker, and was told because it was over $70.00 AND THEY PAID CASH, I could not return it or exchange it for something I could use. The Emerson Ice Maker cost $126.14. And they were featuring it in their adds at that time.

I know stores must have policys, but I alos know that good will is worth a lot and they should have someone that is able to make a good judgement call. The box was never opened.

I am sure I am not their best customer, but I have shopped there for years and purchase over a $1,000.00 of prescriptios a year from target. Having owned severak retail stores for 30 years, I know that one good customer will tell 10 people about a nice shopping experience. However a bad shopping experience will be told to all the family and friends amounting to the hundreds. I would think that good will today would be worth many times the cost of an ice maker.
