Miscellaneous

I "won" accomodations for two at a hotel for two nights at a wedding expo (I figured they would screen all businesses represented there for legitimacy but...) after spinning a prize wheel. When I called the number later they said that I'd have to put down a $50 deposit towards hotel taxes, etc. Which they said they would reimburse the difference if it is less so I thought, okay that seems reasonable. I paid the deposit. After paying the deposit, and a bunch of waiting, I had to choose where I wanted to travel to (I chose Cape Cod) and three different travel date preferences. I put in the preferences and was told that I would be notified by snail or email which vacation time and hotel I would be given at least 45 days prior to my first choice which was July 14. So now it's June 4, the trip is 40 days away, I can find no contact information on their website other than to get my status (they say they are "reviewing the dates and destination you have selected. You will be contacted as soon as we have determined availability for you. Thank you for your patience.") and my fiancée and I wish to plan our summer but this is hiding us up a bit. I'm also worried that if we do get our hotel it or the dates or both will be crappy. I think we just might have to blow this off and plan our summer as we wish.
