I called my credit card company to make an online payment. Somehow the number I dial was not the same number or company I was connected to, a representative Grocery Savings Club; started telling me I was a lucky caller to receive a $500. Grocery gift card for just $7.00 shipping & handling. However he would not put the charge on the credit card I was calling about —he wanted another credit card to charge the amount too. He gave me the customer care # 1-877-534-5252; his employee ID # 1215 and insisted he was offering me a great saving with no additional charges or fees attached in the future. The more I declined the more he pushed. I gave him my information, name, home address, & phone #. Thank goodness he said the card did not go through. I only pray I stopped the scam before they find a way to charge my card. When I asked for a supervisor he gave me a number to call back I did not realize it was a fake number for public information calls.
