Miscellaneous

I signed an agreement to purchase a vacation club membership with WLD in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and paid a $15,000.00 deposit on MasterCard. On Feb. 14 I wire transferred the balance of money owing after taking out a bank loan. All of this was on the condition that Continental Resources would sell my existing timeshare memberships within 60-90 days or all monies would be refunded. Both contract numbers (WLD and CR) were on this agreement. This was the only way I would agree to accept the deal from the sales reps at Mango's Restaurant where the business was conducted. Continental Resources only last week passed me off to Bluesky Management and their escrow affiliate A Plus Financial Solutions, both of which companies have had suspicions of fraud reported about them on the Internet. When I telephoned Montserrat Torres, WLD general manager, today to report this to her and request a full refund of my purchase price due to the contract's not being honoured as promised within the allotted timeframe, she refused to accept any responsibility. I asked if I should lodge a complaint with Profeco, the Mexican consumer protection agency, and she said I was entitled to go ahead.
