Consumers beware of this con-artist company. I wanted a vehicle report for an auto that we were considering buying. I browsed the net and happened upon vehiclehistorys.com. The site stated $2.95 for a report. No where on their web page did it state this was for a trial membership only. A week later noticed I $29.95 charge on my statement. That's when I read the terms of use. $2.95 for initial report, then two subsequent payments of $29.95 for full membership. My fault for not reading terms first. So I said to myself, $60.00 down the drain. The kicker is they continued to bill me $29.95 for 3 more months.incidentally, as of April 24 their terms have changed completely. It does not state the monetary amount for reports. Try finding a valid e-mail address of telephone number for these rip-off artists. Finally, I located a toll free number which I called. Spoke to some guy by the name of Rick whom I could bearly understand. Told him to terminate membership immediatelyand refund 3 additional months that were charged to me illegally as per their initial terms. He said no refund possible. So I filed a complaint with my credit card company. Waiting to hear results. Bottom line, avoid these thieves at all costs. Had I known $2.95 was for a trial, I would have cancelled immediately. But no where. No where on their web site did it state that $2.95 was for a trial. They have changed their terms of use at least 3 times in as many months. I find it rather ironic their web page now states they are not accepting new customers due to their "incredible success". Yes, incredibly successful in the art of scamming innocent consumers and stealing their money. If you need vehicle reports, I suggest using reputable agencies such as CARFAX or VEHIX.com. Vehiclehistorys.com should be prosecuted for theft of services.
