Damaged property

I hired a moving company to move my furniture from one apartment to another. My furniture was damaged... Leather couch ripped its brand new 2000.00 value at least (I have paper work documented) also a dinning room table (750.00 value also have the paperwork). The owner did not want to give me proof the damages would be fixed. He wanted me to pay for the services and trust that he would have repaired when I refused to pay it until I had documentation saying the damages would be repaired he refused to give me documentation and told his movers to leave with my belongings. I then called the police they came made a report documented the contract did not state damages would be repaired. I agreed to pay if the owner just gave me proof my furniture would be fixed I asked him if he has insurance he said yes but refused to tell me who the carrier was. He was very rude hung up on me. This issue still has not been resolved. This buisness is unprofessional and the absolute worse buisness to have move your belongings. If someone could please help me with this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Ive worked very hard to try to mainline nice belongings I put my trust in this company they would do as they promised and everything was ruined.
