I was shopping around for loans on the web yesterday, but did not submit an application to any lender. This morning I woke up to see $200.00 deposited into my account that I did not request, nor did I sign anything indicating I agree to their terms. I found their phone number and the lady on the other end informed me that they don't need my permission to deposit the money because they got my information from another lender and that they tried to call me, and when they didn't get a hold of me they deposited the money without my knowledge. How is this legal? Fortunately she said they will the the money back out tomorrow with no fee but now they have my information and I am worried they will do something like this again!
