Reader's Digest Sweepstakes Draw
My mom recieved a check in the mail for $3,612.19. And she had won $500,000. Total in sweepstakes

Miscellaneous

My mom recieved a check in the mail for $3,612.19, which was to be used for processing fees related to winning a lump sum of $500,000. From Geico General Insurance, who was holding the funds for The Reader's Digest sweepstakes draw.

I was suspicious, so I checked here on your site, and sure enough, other people had been scammed from the same place, so I knew not to respond to the letter. Other people would have cashed this check and in 5-7 days, would have been paying their bank back the funds.

Beware when you have to pay someone to get funds that they say you have won, or if they tell you to keep it confidential, it isn't on the up and up.
