Woke up to an alert on my phone saying there was an Auto debit in the amount of $31.96 from Loan Avantix. Never heard of the company, never signed up for anything through them. Spoke with a customer service agent and was told the debit was a fee to guarantee that I would be approved for a loan. I told the agent I wasn't interested in receiving a loan from them and would like the $31.96 credited back to my account. Agent put me on hold for over 30 minutes, couldn't give me any information because I refused to give my social security # to them and hung up on me. Looks like this has happened a lot within the last few days.
