In checking my bank account on-line I saw that an automatic deduction had been taken from my checking account in the amount of $31.96 by a company listed as ROI Avanix. I googled that name and got a phone number and address in Nevada (phone #855-287). I spoke with a customer service rep. And asked why this was debited as I had never taken a loan from their company and had never even heard of them. She said that she would credit the amount back to my account in 7-10 days and gave me a confirmation number. I will be checking to see if, in fact, they do debit my money back. Meanwhile she said she would "close my account" if I would like - I said that I certainly hoped she would "close" it since I never opened an account with them and never agreed to any payments (and never received anything that needed to be paid for). She had also said that their company collects payments for other companies and I told her that I know exactly who I have ever borrowed from and that I pay them directly and I never had an agreement to pay anything back through a third-party - and if I had I would know their name. I told her I would be reporting this to the Nevada Attorney General which I will do and will also send a copy of my letter to their company in Nevada. I told her I would be ashamed and embarrassed to work for such an unscrupulous company.
