On December 30, I purchased a Ford, Taurus from South Shore Auto Sales located in Amityville, NY.

After being in possession of the vehicle for a few days, I began receiviong harrassing phonecalls from South Shore Auto informing me they had made an error. At first, they said they sold me the wrong vehicle, then they informed my attorney that the paperwork was incorrect and that I needed to purchase additional insurance on the vehicle and fill out another DMV form.

I purchases the additional insurance and submitted another DMV registration form and paid additional fees. However, on January 25, South Shore Auto Sales repossesed my vehicle without any outstanding payments being due on the account. When questioned about their actions, they commented that it was the Finance Company that renegotiated the transaction.

However, after speaking with the Finance Company, they informed me that the loan was a good and valid loan, and that it was South Shore Auto Sales who cancelled the loan, informing them that the client would be paying them directly. They did not inform them they would be repossesing the vehicle.

At the time they seized the vehicle, they also confiscated personal effects pertaining to my disability. The objects they took, are valued at approximately $543.00. To date, they have not made recompense for the downpayment of $2311.00 or the items they took. Eventhough my attorney and I have made several requests for them to return my personal items, they refuse to do so.
