My neighbor is 80 and she received a phone call from a telemarketer about alternative health insurance which she did one. They got checking account info from her and said they would send a package for her to sign up. They never did and about 4 weeks later deducted money from her checking account. We filed complaint with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Better Business Bureau. Please do - call or file report online. The bank said they would catch any unauthorized deductions but they did not.infuriating.
