My story matches Sharons posted on April 15th almost to tee. I received call at work from a female telemarketer. Would have too pull call log for exact date which I plan to do since today on the phone with the 3rd rep, i spoke with accused me of dishonest about cancelling. I told 3 people today from American readers I cancelled after receiving mail stating I was obligated to pay 59.60 for 16 payments. Today's phone call was regarding a past due payment of another 59.60 I said I am not paying that I cancelled after getting mail. Well too my surprise they have all records of calls except the one canceling. So we argued and they all repeated you will pay and the female I spoke with also told me they would continue too call me until I pay. Really i talked to a lawyer i was seeing on other business who said that's harassment and for me not to pay. The 3rd male I talk too said a Lawyer can't tell you that then demanded his name. Did I mention the first male today was also named Alex just like Sharon's story. Needless to say I did not
a walmart card either. Well let them call since I blocked 2 numbers they called from and will continue too block, I registered
on national do not call list and my voicemail now says no telemarketers.
I just wanted everyone to know that there is more Sharon's out there and these people won't stop until enough of us rise against them. I will not be harassed into payment of this scam. They already have first payment and I have no magazines, So I told them to keep it and I walk away with nothing except lesson learned too hang u if they call and make sure you are in a place you can hear everything they say without interruptions.
