Fleet response RSC Equipment Rental "Nothing but a scam rental company"

I rented a 30,000 Ib steel track excavator from them for two days to dig out stumps for a lot clearing job. It was a brand new John Deere with low hours. Upon signing the rental agreement I was never asked if I wanted to or had to purchase insurance for this, like other rental companies do. When the machine was delivered to the job site there was never any pre-inspection of the machine. After using the excavator and turning it back in everything worked fine.

After one week I received a phone call from the store mgr stating that "I bent the boom" on the ex and asked me if I could do anything about. I replied no. After two weeks I received a packet in the mail from Fleet Response their claim brokers.in the packet were pictures of the 3 inch slightly bent boom and a bill for over $24,000. But never explained how this effects performance and never any proof that I did this.

I then consulted a lawyer and he then mailed them a letter asking for more proof of this claim. After 6 months I never heard anything from my lawyer or RSC until recently. I recently received a threatining letter from Fleet Response demanding payment or I would be hearing from their attorney or collection agency. Seems to me like RSC wants ruin every small biz owner chance. I have yet to consult a new lawyer about this false claim. First and last time with RSC rental!!!
