Gotcha

Have been trying to cancel my Waste Management contract. Can only cancel 90 to 180 days by written communication. So I write a letter to cancel service only to find out the letter must be CERTIFIED MAIL. Now I have missed the 90 day window by 14 days and they want to charge me almost $400 to cancel service. Just not right! Nothing in the contract allows for termination unless it is on Waste Managements terms. Horrible to do business with. DON'T EVER SIGN A CONTRACT! Now I have to decide whether I want to stay for 3 more years of forever increasing costs, pay the $400, or fight in court. It is just wrong!
