Waste Management
READ the FINE PRINT on your CONTRACT - dumpster service

Miscellaneous

Waste management hides behind the fine print of their contracts even for residential customers. The first time I tried to cancel my service and they told me my contract automatically renewed for another 2 years. I managed to get them to drop the price by switching me to a smaller dumpster and making my contract only 1 year. They told me if I wanted to cancel I had to contact them 90 days prior to the end of my contract or it would renew again. So I wrote it on my calendar to call 12/21 because I signed my contract on 4/23. It took 3 phone calls and one nasty email before someone contacted me back on 1/10. He said my contract states that to cancel service I have to send a certified letter. He said I need to send it out right away so I wouldn%u2019t be too late. I%u2019ve never heard of a company requiring a residential customer to send a certified letter. I would understand maybe a fax or email but after not receiving a call back from this company for almost 3 weeks this is ridiculous. I will never do business with them again.
