Requested car VIN history from CARVINHISTORY.com valued at $2.95. Three days later my debit card was dinged for $29.95. From what I can determine is that I missed the fine print that states that when I requested the $2.95 report I subed for a magazine, real or fictional & if I did not want the monthly sub I had three days to cancel, well I did not cancel within the three day window as I was unaware that I should. The credit card was debited on Saturday, that is convenient as the banks are were on skeleton crew over the weekend and even though the debit was in the "processing" stage they told me to call on Monday. Big help. After reading other related scam postings I did not try contacting the scammers. Looks like I will need to get a new card number if the bank cannot block the withdraws. Would bet this is similar to other posts about this matter.
