Olde Town News Don't accept design work from Neil David Hartstein - He'll never pay you!

Attention Graphic Designers! DO NOT accept design work from Heritage Valley View newspaper, Neil David Hartstein, Sugar Beet Press or Olde Town News. He will contract work and even sign a contract for payment. But, he'll state that he'll pay you 'within 7 days of print' for his newspaper. Beware!

In reality, he will have you design the entire newspaper, do photo treatments, etc. And has NO INTENTION of ever paying you and will start to duck your phone calls and not respond to emails. He will also duck process servers and not respond to civil action requests or show up in court for small claims. He is a liar and a cheat.

I am not the first designer this has happened to. Had someone filed a report sooner, many of us could have avoided being owed hundreds or thousands of dollars, I'm sure. If any of you have been in this situation with this person, let people know!
