Miscellaneous

Originally signed up for PC Pro Cleaner and when I phoned to finalize was told my computer was very infected and would need to be serviced by a Microsoft Office Professional. The original charge was $45.83 but I was told this wouldn't clean my computer because it was infected. I was charged $292.67 (originally $250 American) for a one year service to be hooked up to a microsoft professional through logmein.com. They took over my computer and said the problem was fixed. However the reason I started all this was I was having problems with my email. I contacted them again and they spent quite awhile taking over my computer again trying to fix my email. I then contacted them this morning asking for a refund but was told I needed their services. Since that phone call, I have discovered proof that I have been scammed. I am very worried of identity theft now as they have had access to my computer for at least 5 - 7 hours. I have had my computer cleaned but the fact remains, they may have copied my information. I have changed my passwords but don't know what else to do. I have contacted my credit card company and hope to have the charges reversed but have to provide a lot of paperwork for this. It makes me not want to use the computer anymore. Tough for a senior who was just becoming more into technology.
