I received a letter from Economical Investment Group stating that I had won $150,000 in a Mega Lottery Drawing in the UK. A check was enclosed to me from Chemical Bank in Evart, MI in the amount of $3,980. This check was to pay US taxes on the money. I was to call a Michael Dundas at 1-905-598-3414 before depositing the check. I called Dundas and he basically reiterated the content of the letter, told me to deposit the check and then call him back.

If it sounds to good to be true it probably is... I took the check and the letter to my bank to get their opinion. The Bank existed by not in Evart, MI. I was advised this was a scam and that the check would not clear. It is unclear as to how this scam works, but it is clear that it is a scam of some sort.
