I had gotten a letter with a check in the mail for Secret Shopping. I called the number given and talked with a man named Michael about the shopping assignments. He sounded very cautious and I believed he was legitimate so I deposited the check, did the shopping assignments and sent the reports.
Yesterday, I got notice from my bank that the check was returned. Part of the shopping assignment was to send $1800 via Western Union to a person in England. That was a total of $1915 including the Western Union fee. The balance was $100 to do a shop at Walmart and $300 pay for the shops. I would eat the $400 for being stupid but I'm on a fixed income and I can't afford the $1915. I think the crooks were using Joshen Parker Paper - I don't think the company actually ripped me off.
