I called the 800 number from a radio advertisement in Los Angeles and the woman said I would get $2000 in grocery vouchers (excluding alcohol, cigarettes & fresh produce) in exchange for permission to track my purchases for their grocery "clients" information. After taking a quick survey, I "qualified" for their program and needed to pay a $19.95 administration fee before I could receive their "information package". I was told it was a great deal because if I signed up online it would cost me $60, so I ran into my house and got on the internet and looked up the website address she gave me - www.americanvalue.com and it's a bogus site with no links OR information so I hung up immediately. She tried calling me back from a phone number registered in Maine, but I didn't pick up. Google "Grocery Savings Direct" if you want to know the whole previous scam. They supposedly record your permission to charge all kinds of scams to whatever financial info you give them. I'm sure it's a total nightmare!
