I received a call after applying for an online loan from Meredith Barnes. She informed me. That they had found a personal investor willing to provide a 15,000 personal loan, seven year loan for a 7 year term, with 3 security options... Three months prepayment that would go against the loan, or a cosigner with a credit score of 750 and no loans out themselves, or purchase a 1500.00 insurance package. I was told to send the money to a man in Toronto named Jason Mandvelt... He would have to have I. D to pick up my wire transfer that was to secure this loan. The next day I get another phonecall telling me I need to send another 750 before the funds could be released. Now my gut is screaming at me. Mrs Barnes reassured me that this was not a scam, and that they were fully accredited loan company. I received a five page contract that I faxed back along with a copy of my licence and void cheque for them to withdrawl my loan payment. I had gone online and checked out their website and it all seemed legitimate. But I told her that I would not be able to make the next payment until Monday. It being Saturday. I got off the phone with her, and googled the better business bureau, only to see an alert for them... Check it out it offers numbers you can call including the f.T.C.
