Scammer Harrasment Threatening Boiler Room

These people are a mess, they have called a few times for me and my spouse on different occasions. Always leaving these voicemails that say something like "you must contact us or you will wish you did - incredibly time sensitive and criminal matter - your lawyer of record better call within 24 hours". Sometimes it is a woman and sometimes a man, all with very thick indian accents.

I have tried to call them back - just for sh*t's and giggles, only to get a full voicemail box, or a busy signal. Today jst by chance I got through. (I forgot to mention, I am a law major at the university, and take the bar in the fall:) I finally got the man on the phone and he proceeded to try and gather my information, when he asked for my license number I stopped him in his tracks and simply told him the following - I will not release any of my information until you tell me from which state you are calling, the nature of the call to my client, how was he notified and what is the supposed offense. For there are far to many boiler room scams involving fake lawfirms and suits.

He then tried to convince me that they had sent a letter. I asked if he had used a process server and he tried to tell me that was unessesary. Then I ripped him a new one - I let him know tat what he was doing was illeigal and you CAN NOT sue across state lines without filing with the court and using a process server. When I was done handing him his butt, the so called "lawyer on the phone" begged to get off the phone.

I bet they won't call here again:)
