I ordered a cake from Dream Cakes Bakery. It wasn't ready when promised at 3:30pm. I made a deal with them to pick it up between 4:15-4:30pm to give them more time. When I got there at 4:30pm the cake wasn't ready and we had to be at our B-day party location by 5pm. The cake was finally given to us at 4:55 which made us 25 min late to a reserved party location that we had paid for. The cake was already falling apart on the drive there. The fondant started to split open and the cake started to tilt to one side. The bottom 2 rounds were deflating on one side. We got to our party, carefully took it out of the car, placed it in the kitchen and had to put something underneath one side because it was already lobsided on the other. 40 min into the party part of the cake came tumbling down on it's own. The top portion of the cake ended up on the floor which had to be thrown away. When I tried contacting the owner, she was very rude and non apologetic. She said it was our fault because of the way it was transported. Well I saw in the back of my car with the cake the whole time holding it up and we drove slowly and carefully. It had nothing to do with the transportation of the cake, the cake was already falling apart before getting to the party. Not only that but it looked like the cake may have still been warm and that is why it didn't set properly and it looked like it was deflating! I would just like my money back. I paid $200 for this cake. It was a terrible experience.
