Miscellaneous

This charge for $9.99 appeared on my current t-mobile bill under my daughter's phone number. I called t-mobile to straighten it out. The customer service rep was really unhelpful. He told me that these charges appear when you get a text from this company and don't respond with the word 'STOP' within 24 hours. He refused to remove the charge or prevent this company from doing this again. All he did was give me a phone number for the company. I tried calling and you get no answer, just a recording that says for faster service email them or you can leave a message. I left a message and then wrote an email. Never received a call back and the email was returned undeliverable.
I immediately called t-mobile back and explained the situation. I told them that as the provider they need to help me with this or I will cancel my account immediately for the three lines that are still under contract and cancel the other line as soon as the contract expires in a few months.
Suddenly, they were not only able to reverse the charge but also to blacklist that company from all of my phones.
My point is - if the provider tries to give you the runaround on these scam charges, speak to a supervisor. Obviously, t-mobile is getting some kind of cut of this charge but they'd rather keep your business than lose it over some pennies on the dollar commision. Be firm and state that you want this charge removed and the company prevented from adding any further charges.
