AT&T's customer retention department offerred a cell phone plan to try and keep me from changing my service to a different company. When I called to take advantage of the written offer, the company's representatives said first there was a misunderstanding, then said they could not honor the price their representative had offerred in writing, and finally the representative from the office of the president suggested I take my business elsewhere.
