Ripoff of holding deposit

I looked at an apartment in this complex, and was told that I had to place a $150.00 deposit to hold the apartment so that my spouse could view it. My Spouse and I returned the next day and she viewed the apartment and told the leasing agent that the unit was to small. We told her that we wre not interested and left. The next business day they deposited my check and claimed the funds. Not knowing that they had done this caused me to overdraft my account and acumulate $96.00 in overdraft fees plus the $150.00 that they kept.
