Goodwill Industries
NY/NJ Deceptive Price Tags, Aisle Prices Signs, RipOFFs

Miscellaneous

I don't know how and where to start because I have way too many things to tell about this specific store and this ripoff company. First and foremost, the clothing and most items sold in this sold are all used and almost all junk why THE NEED TO MARK THEM PRICES like brand new? Are you serious? Is this really a non-profit organization when they are making so much profit from everyone shopping here. GOOD thing there's not a lot of people shop here anymore because of the outrageous rip-off prices.

This store was recently upgraded and became legit looking not as dirty as before, but still the business they do is dirty. The purpose of it being called "thrift store/donated-used items" shop is for other people who cannot afford to purchase new clothes. I don't understand why the tag prices as high as $19.99 when it looked like crap and worn and some have "SAMPLES" written in the back and yet they are selling it like it's a brand new from the company brand. What a joke!

The people who work are either underpaid or just plain nasty? I heard one employee bash on its own place of work saying "I hate this place so much, I don't care if its newly renovated, I wish this place burns, I don't care when if I come to work the next day its burning, I hate everyone here." I said to myself, no wonder you look like that. The same person who said that statement, also told me that the prices on the clothes are that high because they were donated by these clothing brand. Do you know how ridiculous and deceptive it is, when people assume that each aisles have prices on every rack so people would know its fixed price, NO, the price tags on every clothing varies, which is a bunch of bull sheet. For example, it says on blouses 4.99 and up... And you end up at the register and they rang it for 24.99-29.99. I'd rather buy brand new clothes from a mall that price ranges from 7-15, new and unworn. WTF!

There was some instance where the cashiers take money from haggling consumers without ringing the items as long as you have to buy lots of stuff so it won't get noticed. Since when did used clothing and used household item store needed a security guard, lol?

So for you people out there, thinking of donating your junk, make sure it goes to a real organization that serves people who are in need, NOT those people who dupes and rips you off. This is full business, monkey that is, it doesn't care for the poor and needy. This is just a small complaint, others are not willing to share their opinions. If this kind of stuff continues I'll be d*mned.

I have been to many different kinds of this non-profit organizations to observe on five Burroughs of NY like UNIQUE, Salvation Army, etcetera and same bull happens. Other things are just really meant to be trashed not SOLD, people who donates stuff need to know the difference between good or bad. If its covered in cob webs, rusted, inked, ripped, just burn or trash it on the garbage. Don't even bother putting them in the bag to donate. I feel bad for those who buys them and waste money and just end up throwing it themselves. Ugh.

For some reason, I thought that people who donated random stuff whether they are good or really bad are just after the receipt for their damn tax returns. GREEDiness always is the root of this. I doubt hoarders will be happy to give their stuff for free. Greedy scumbags everywhere.

Honesty doesn't really matter nowadays, its the money that counts right!? I wish there were more humble human beings out there who are real about their intentions. Charities are not always really charitable and hospitable, they always is business. MONEY! Money! GREED, GREED, GREED!

Have a great 2012!
