Miscellaneous

I had a pop up on my computer saying it was Windows Vista security and it showed viruses my computer was infected with. It stated I needed to sign up for the year of protection for 69.95 and redirected me where I could pay. Always skeptical of things like this, I looked very closely at everything and it seemed legit from Windows Vista... However, I would check my bill once it came in. I started having issues with my computer afterwards and when I got the bill it did not say microsoft, it said videocaverpro.com. I KNEW I had been scammed at that point. I googled the company and sure enough, many many others have fell victim to this scam as well. Bottom line, always go to the company's actual website on your own, never ever trust a link. I am disputing with my bank. Did anyone else have the confirmation email the company sent vanish from their computer? I cannot find mine and I know I did not delete it.
