Revita la Peau removed GBP309.88 (USD490.11) from my bank account and without my knowledge in the month following my initial request for a free trial of their product. I had cancelled my interest by phone within 12 days (of which there were three bank holidays and two weekends). My bank statement today showed four separate payments had been taken by Revita la Peau and I contacted my bank, who advised that I contact this company urgently. When I phoned Revita la Peau to challenge why they had taken money from my account I was told that they had no record of my phone call to them previously. I told them that I have not received any further products from them, which they agreed was correct (eventually) but then said that the ‘sample free trial’ was in fact a month’s supply of the full-priced product. It seems that if a customer does not cancel the ‘contract’ they have inadvertently entered into within 12 days then the company will make monthly charges of GBP79.99 and GBP74.95 respectively until the ‘contract’ is cancelled. I demanded to speak with a manager and was eventually told that the company will reimburse me in full. However, I had to threaten them with Trading Standards to get this far. I am now advised that I will receive my money back within 3-5 working days. If you have had a similar experience, telephone 0808 168 3684 for their Customer Service department.
