Miscellaneous

I found an ad on craigslist for someone selling an iPad 2 3g 64gigs for 300 dollars. I wrote asking about it and she said she was now in Vancouver and offered to send it via Parcelforce. I said I wanted to look into the site first. I did and it looked legit, her email was also Lindsay_Lenninger@email-vfs.com which is the email address for Vancouver film school, which that part checked out as well. I asked her why she was getting rid of it, what company it was affiliated with and the condition it was in. I got a very professional email back asking if I wanted it and showing me pictures.
She said she had dropped it off at Parcelforce and since the company looked good I didn't have many worries. They sent me a receipt telling me the condition of the iPad and when it would arrive, but then it asked me to wire the money before they'd ship it. I should have trusted my gut and realized this was a bad plan, but since the company seemed to check out I trusted them. Oh, was I wrong. After spending another 30 dollars to wire the money, I found this website which hadn't popped up before. I have since tried to email her again and to no avail. I would just like to know what action to take to make sure this does not happen to others.
