Scam selling Tazers and/or personal safety equipment

Some guy, didn't give his name, just walked into an office over here in San Rafael. He walked up to the secretary during normal business hours, even though there is a no soliciting sign out front, and proceeded right into his sales pitch. I thought it weird to begin with but the guy jumped right into his sales pitch and proceeded to tell the sweet girl behind the desk that he was selling personal safety equipment. The only need for that would be from the salesman who is the only ultra-aggresive person I have seen here ever. After telling the young lady about the need for safety, he proceeded to pull out a Tazer, tell the woman to cover her eyes and turned it on. You could hear the crackling and I was a little scared sitting in the next room. What the h*l was going on out there? The secretary handled it well and asked him for a business card and told him she would call if she found a need for the product. He tore off a receipt from a little book that stated no refunds and listed the name of the company on the receipt as Terra Wholesale in San Leandro. It was pretty easy to see that this company is apparently hiring crack heads to sell their products and I am a little perturbed that this salesman is going door-to-door with a Tazer in his hand and looking for money. Some might call it aggressive salesmanship - I call it unprofessional, threatening and harassing. I seriously thought that if the secretary had pulled out money he would have Tazed her, grabbed the money and booked it out the door. Is it legal to just pull out a Tazer and start waving it around like that? I hope not and hope someone calls the cops on this guy.
