I responded to an add on Horseclicks for a Sundowner Sunlite 777 2 horse trailer posted for $2800. I received an email from a Sgt Rose Walker at rosemgwalker@hotmail.com as follows "Thank you for your interest in my horse trailer. This is a 2004 Sundowner SunLite 777 wDR and Stainless Steel Sides.

Trailer is in excellent condition, very well maintained. I only used this trailer to go to local horse shows and to riding lessons that were usually within a thirty mile radius. I have had the trailer serviced regularly and the tires are in very good condition.
This is a very clean, one owner unit. All checked over in the shop and ready to go.
This trailer has been VERY gently used. Tires are in great shape, no rust, no damages, no dents, no hidden defects, never been involved in accidents. It's in an exceptional shape. This is a very reliable trailer that has never given me any problems.

I'm an US Air Force Sgt. Currently stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. The trailer is here with me. I reduced the price to $2,630.00 including shipping from Alaska and delivery to your home address.

I responded asking for the weight of the trailer and received this response: "The trailer weight's 2400LBS.
I will have the trailer shipped from Alaska by an US Air Force cargo plane so there won't be any additional shipping costs. Also I will arrange for a truck to transport the trailer to your home address. The shipping will take 3-4 days, depending on your location. Shipping will be door to door, to your home address, somebody must be home when the trailer arrives to sign for the reception. The trailer will arrive with all the papers and documents required for registration and the keys. The clear title and the bill of sale will be already signed by me.

The payment will be done through Yahoo Autos. You will have to make the payment to Yahoo Autos and as soon as the payment is confirmed they will notify me to proceed with the shipping. I will ship the trailer, you will receive it and you will have 5 days for inspection, both the trailer and the paperwork and the option to accept or reject the trailer. The inspection time period will begin as soon as you sign for receiving the trailer at your requested address. During all this time Yahoo Autos will hold the amount into a trust account. So, this is not a blind transaction, you can see the trailer before decided to buy it. If you are satisfied with the trailer and decide to keep it you inform Yahoo Autos about this and they will release the money to me. If the trailer is not as advertised and decide not to keep it Yahoo Autos will refund you the money, no questions asked, and shipping back the trailer will be my concern. I think this is more than fair for the both of us. Please take in to consideration that I will get paid only after you receive the trailer and make sure everything is as agreed.

If you agree with these terms and you have the money, send me your full name and the address where you want the trailer to be delivered to and I will initiate the transaction with Yahoo Autos. You will receive all the transaction details from them.

I became suspicious of the Yahoo Autos trust account thing and Googled it, there are a lot of references to the exact same information being used as a scam.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
