Ordered a camera from website after checking out company details which were OK.
Got e-mail confirmation of order & request to pay by bank transfer.
Paid by transfer to their stated bank account and received receipt by e-mail.
Directed to check state of order page to follow delivery, etc but it still showed as bill unpaid. Assumed it would take a day or so to update the delivery date.
Nothing happened. Tried calling telephone number given. Not working, so I chased them by e-mail. No reply.
Found phone number for company address and called.
Got genuine company secretary who told me about the scam.
Apparently lifted their company name & details for false website. Reported to Derbyshire Police, who were already aware.
