I received a call from. 1-757-275-8578, supposedly a debt collector in the name of Portfolio Recovery, and they have 4 more numbers they use.

I downloaded an App called number guru, which looks up numbers your not familiar with, because I never answered it and they never left a voice mail. So when I looked up the number it had all kinds of reviews with it along with the other 4 numbers it suggested blocking, and one reviewer left a web site to find out exactly where they came from and their real names, but you have to pay for it, and it kept saying error so I filled it out again, it was only suppose to be 19 98 per year, with 3 days to cancel, well I got their real names (scam names) and it asked for more money if u wanted more info, which I. Did, and when I finished the form it said I made errors, so I went back and tried again, same result.

So. Stupid me does it like 5X's and they got me for 500$. And how I knew that was because I was so upset from filling this form out over and over I called the bank because I was going to cancel my card to protect my self, and because it was a debit card. There's nothing the bank can do-

And its really a shame that people can be so cruel to rip other people off, and sleep well at night, it's beyond me.

I am only 49, but I'm on disability due to back problems and had several surgerys with no releif, so I'm on a fixed income. And had just received my SS check. I paid all my utilitys yesterday, and now they are not going to clear.

I know times are hard, but it takes a real cold hearted person or people to do things like this, I'm not a stupid person, but I feel real stupid and embarrassed that I could fall for something like this.
