Bad Reaction to Ambien

My mother has taken this for maybe less than a year. I do not live with her and my dad works out of town. He only comes home on weekends. She has told me stories of finding ice cream sticks all over the place in the morning. Also my daughter stayed over there and heard her screaming she could not unlock her door. My daughter thought she was having a stroke or was drunk. Could not understand her well. My dad came home from out of town. He always goes to bed at seven P.M. And he woke up to find that she had fallen a lot of times. I went over there and there was blood everywhere! Broken glass and she had peed on the floor. This is not the first or second time. My mother was only having a sleeping problem. We threw those pills in the toilet. She must be having withdraws. It has been a nightmare since! Help.
