My wife and I contracted Mr. Brian Filiault (Brian Filiaut Construction) in October to build our dream home. However, through a premeditated, well-planned strategy, this unscrupulous confidence man manipulated us out of a large portion of our new construction loan and completed very little work in return. The small amount of work that was done was sub-standard and rife with major and costly mistakes, which later had to be repaired at great expense.

When my wife and I signed the building contract in October, we were promised that the house would be completed in May. However, after one full year the houses foundation had been poured and it had been framed, roofed, and the windows were installed nothing more. Mr. Filiaut simply stopped working in April after we trustingly paid him the bulk of our new construction loan.
