John Hatcher
Buddy Changed offer on phone

Miscellaneous

A few months back I saw Gazelle on the tv. They seemed legit and claimed good BBB ratings etc. I was getting ready to upgrade to an iPhone 4S so when I did a few weeks ago I contacted Gazelle. They sent me the shipping box and I shipped my used iPhone 3GS to them. I was a little concerned as I had heard these type internet stores make you a descent offer and then once they receive your item, the offer goes way down. I was offered $102 for my 3GS 16G phone. I took a few photographs before I boxed up the phone so I had documentation of the good condition of the phone then boxed it up. I sent the box by USPS as the postage was paid. From that point on I got an email every day asking where my phone was. It finally arrived and the next day I get an email saying we have a problem. They claim the phone was not in good condition and the offer dropped to $40. They claim the face of the phone was cracked even though the phone was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and the photographs clearly show no crack. I'd be very leary of sending any device to this company unless it is in really bad condition and you are already expecting the lowest offer.
