This morning I opened an e-mail that I believed to be from my niece. The e-mail was a solicitation for a company that claims to guarantee a method one can work at home with a standard computer for several companies entering information on websites. Payment for your services are to be made as per entry.
I decided to pursue the offer and ordered the service for $97.95. Once the transaction was completed, I received an e-mail with the above address along with a password to enter and instructions to Login as a member. After several attempts, the Login process failed to access the site of the "exclusive members area". Next I tried to access an e-mail address which is given as a support site. This failed as well. I was eventually contacted by my niece informing me that she did not send the e-mail, and that her computer had been hacked. I called the support phone number of the company and received a recording stating that the company hours begin 8:00 am eastern standard time. I will be calling tomorrow, and if I can talk to anyone, I will be requesting a refund. This was advised by my bank Representative who I reported the transaction to earlier. If this fails, I was told that a cancellation would be made on the transaction.
