Ripoff! Inappropriate change orders!

These people are trying to collect for an unsigned change order that was not even written until we took occupancy of our house which, according to them was the deadline for payment of all charges. I was told that they would pay $600 for propane and if I could find a cheaper supplier, I would be credited the difference. When I inquired about the credit for not spending the whole $600, they came up with an unsigned change order for $650.00 for stump removal and a manhole over the septic lift pump tank.

We decided that since they would not even discuss this bill, we would just ignore it since it was not legitimate. Since then we have been trying to get a window that was damaged repaired. When the broken glass was replaced, the installer informed us that the frame was damaged. I contacted Crystal Valley Division of Patriot Homes and after waiting several days for them to "find the file" they contacted Skip Long at Happy Housing and he said that the damaged window was his responsibility but he was not going to do anything about it until we paid our bill.

This is just another tactic to try to get us to pay them money that we do not owe them so we can get repairs done that they are contractually obligated to do.

DO NOT DO Business with Happy Housing, Cystal Valley or Patriot Homes. They will cheat you out of your money! If they make mistakes, you have to pay the bills.
