I just discovered the scam charge on 12/09, a month after the fact. Fortunately, I wasn't hit with any more fraud debits. I closed the checking acct today. Whoever is perpetrating the scam is being real stupid by printing paper checks with phone numbers and addresses and cashing the checks. The fraud departments and FBI should be able to trace to the origin fairly easily.
