Miscellaneous

On ll/20 I went into the Amazon.com site to see if an object I was looking for was available. It was not so I immediately left the site without submitting any information. The next day, 11/21 I saw two charges being sumitted to my checking account, one for $52.33 and another for $11.76 which was returned for Insufficient funds causing my account to be charged $24.00 for each charge. I called Amazon and informed them that these charges were made and not authorized by me, and was told the information would be sent to their billing department. I later received a message from Amazon that they could not find any record of my charges. I contacted Amazon 3 times about this transaction. On 11/28 Amazon attempted to send the charges through a second time and this time on the advice of my bank and the Amazon customer service personnel I placed a stop payment on the charges, which incurred a $20.00 charge per charge resulting in the $88.00 deficient to my checking account caused by unauthorized charges from Amazon. Again I contacted them this time by email, again I got the same response from the billing department, and for the fifth time I reponded by email the situation. I am still waiting to hear from the last email which was submitted to them on 12/6. I think this company should be investigated.
