I applied for grant information online, then receive a call from a Ruby Singh @ the grant office in Washington DC. I was told the funds were to be released in March for a preapproved grant based on the info I submitted. I was given a case # and phone # 2027179075. It became suspicious to me when they couldn't give me their company/agency name because they would be too inundated with calls. I said isn't this the SBA, they replied no. I asked how I could verify who they were. The Ruby lady then put a Steve on the phone who became very belligerent, condescending to me for asking who this was, who they got my info from, and how could I verify what they were telling me. From the above story I think I dodged a bullet. I did get the chance to tell them that taking advantage of people trying to start a business is despicable. I left a message @ the Nexus # too. No call back yet lol. The Nexus # is 8132830669. Hope this helps someone.
