Received a surprise "Payment Notice" due amount $74.49...
I purchased a 3yr Satellite Radio (XM Everything - package, included 5 additional months free) at the cost of $401.45.

I purchased a new 2011 Honda - CRV-EXL from Honda Cars of Bellevue May 26. Satellite Radio service was offer free for 3 months at the close of the purchase. A notice was sent in the mail offering a package for 3yrs at the price of $401.45 with an additional 5 months included. I agree with the terms and sent payment in full.

Received a surprise payment notice September 9 informing I have a due payment of $74.49... I contacted customer support and was told I had to pay fees, taxes & music royalty fees? Wasn't able to get thru to the original customer support representative my complaint and requested to speak with someone of authority (supervisor), not sure who I was turned over to because she would not tell me her position (Ashley & Sherry)... After a long frustrated discussion as to why this payment is misleading as the disclaimer on the contract stated this would apply only to renewal members... I explained to her I was a new member, however, she wasn't listening to my issue and said all she could do for me to waiver the fees of $30.00 and that I would be obligated to pay the balance of $44.49... Knowing I wasn't going to reslove this issue, I agree to pay the balance right then online with my debit card... The disclaimer stated I would be charge $75.00 if cancel my package the 1st year.
I was caught in a situation and didn't want to give them the satisfaction of paying the cancellation fees.

My point is, the consumer is being ripped off once they purchase the package and nothing is written in the disclaimer to state they will be billed for the Taxes & Music Royalty Fees... The support representative was unable to answer my question why I was billed!

I contacted General Manager at the Honda Cars of Bellevue for his assistance... At first he hesitated in following up for me and stated it was not their responsibility since the payment notice came directly from SiriusXm. I puruse my complaint with him since I was a customer and purchased a new vehicle from his dealership. All I wanted him to do was to see if he could help me resolve the unjust payment... It wasn't the money, it was the principal and ethical practices I felt the consumer is being scrupulous ripped off! He did take the effort and came up with the same response I experience back in September...

I feel SiriusXM is ripping the consumer off by adding additional cost to the consumer without stating it in their contract upon purchasing an affordable package one agrees to. If one looks at all the U.S. Car dealerhips throught out the country, how much SiriusXM is being deceitful without stating in writing additional fees will be due upon accepting or purchasing their package. It be nice if someone could take an interest and investigate this practice from a Major Company who is making millions off consumers in a scrupulous process!
