Well, I read their "very official" looking letter, but when I saw
"a purchase is not necessary..." and then it would cost me "$11.89" to receive their "Premium offer" for a "75% discount to choose merchandise on line that they offer"... Well Hell I just went to my computer and made a search for ANC and guess what? Many others fell for this scam. I agree with one reviewer who said, "these are foreigners" - there are many clues as to their use of our language, if you read it carefully.
At first I thought this might be connected with Publisher's Clearing House, but it took a magnifying glass to find "ANC"!!! That's the most obvious clue. I originally thought perhaps I should fill it out as I do participate in PCH promotions and I received a $500 check from them once, which I almost threw away, as even that came in an envelope with only an accountant's address on the envelope, & no note of explanation inside - just a check made out to me. It almost looked like a cashier's check or a money order, then I finally noticed "pch" in very tiny, tiny letters in the bottom left corner, or I'd probably have never thought it legitimate (I'm sure many throw their checks away-thinking it just a phony promotion or something). I took that check to the bank and they couldn't even tell me, so, they processed it and behold... It was GOOD! As PCH sends forms out regularly that disqualify you from previously entered contests if you don't "bring your entries up to date" again by sending the new one back, I thought at first this was one of their mailings. Since then, I read every word of any offers I may consider, but I can say PCH is legit. However, ANC is not!
Hope they starve... Preying on people that they can hurt. I am one of the lucky ones. Our postal laws should NAIL these bastards!
