The public needs protection fro you

On September 01, I entered into a 3 yr contract for monitoring services. On the following day a technician came to my home and installed the equipment. Upon completion of the intstallation he informed me that the smoke/heat detection system was out of stock -hmmm, should'nt I have been informed of this prior to the installation? He tells me that someone would contact me over the next few days to come out and complete the installation. Ha! Over the next 60 days I talked to 6 different people and scheduled 3 installations (keep in mind that they never contacted me, I was the initiator of all contacts) to no avail. On 10/26, I placed a call to say enough is enough, if you can't supply me with the system I ordered and paid for, come by and get the portion you left at my home and cancel the contract. On 10/29, I receive a letter (composed on 10/27) from their contract enforcement dept, demanding pmt for cancellation. This is the only dept in the organization that that I have gotten a promt response from. So, I decide to return the favor and ignore them - hence the collection calls start. I give in on 11/15 and answer their calls, explain the manner in which I had been treated and I have no confidence in their company. Once again the person on the line totally understands and ask pls give him the 7th opportunity to make this right, coupled with a promise of 2 months free monitoring (a check will be put in the mail to me immediatly), I submit and on 10/17 (approx 75 days later) my installation is completed. On 12/15 I call back to inform them that I never received the check and he says he will inquire on it and call me back the next day. On 01/04 I call back and remind them that still no check or return call. At this point I am told that I was done a favor by being taken out of collections (which I should never have been put into because I never denied payment) and that I was to receive no refund check. People this company is a joke. So when they come knocking at your door to sell you a system, hide you wife, hide you kids, hide your husband, the real robbers are at your door and we need to be protected against them.
