I was trying to rent a vacation home and my email was intercepted by holidayrental2006@gmail.com who told me I had to send the money for the vacation home by bank transfer. I filled out forms, scanned them and sent them to the intruder by email. I also sent the money. The money went to Lloyd's of London. I was suspect, but trusted Vacation Rental by Owner since I had used their service before. A week later, I received a phone call from the vacation home owner who had not heard back from me. This alerted me that I had been scammed.
